A new brand offers excitement, novelty – and hundreds of design details to manage. When longtime client Akin launched its new brand, they asked us to roll out the visual identity across a full suite of marketing and sales tools to be used throughout the firm. Working in partnership with Akin’s marketing team and external creative agency, we created e-communications, brochures, advertisements and sales collateral that are all consistently designed using the firm’s new brand guidelines. With the details locked down, the new Akin brand can actively thrive.

Ask any young law firm associate why they chose their firm, and the answer is likely to be some variation of “It was the people.” With this in mind, Akin asked us to create a people-focused recruiting video that would let its lawyers tell the firm’s story through their own experiences. We worked closely with the recruiting team to identify key messages, create interview questions, and provide art and editorial direction. The resulting video highlights personal anecdotes about the firm’s culture as well as its mentoring and professional opportunities. Viewers’ lasting impression is of a warm, close-knit community of people who are passionate about the work they do — an irresistible message for potential hires.
